I am Pastor Ed Thomas, and I am honored to serve at this church. Spirit of Joy is filled with love and laughter, families and faith, spirit and joy.
If you are new to Spirit of Joy ... you are warmly invited to join us for any and all of our activities. Worship is Sundays at 8:30 and 11:00am.

Spirit of Joy is located at the intersection of Potter Road and Indian Trail-Waxhaw Road (8600 Potter Road) in Weddington, NC (click for a map). We are surrounded by the towns of Indian Trail, Wesley Chapel, Stallings, Matthews, Waxhaw, and South Charlotte.
FROM INDIAN TRAIL ... From downtown Indian Trail, take Indian Trail-Waxhaw Road southwest toward Old Monroe Road. Pass through the intersection of Old Monroe and continue south 3 more miles until you get to the round-about / traffic circle. (When you come to the traffic circle, just keep driving around and around until you see the church!)
FROM WAXHAW ... From downtown Waxhaw, head up Providence Rd (Hwy 16) toward Charlotte. You'll immediately cross the railroad tracks. Then you'll immediately turn right on Howie Mine Road. Once you leave town, Howie Mine Road changes names into Waxhaw-Indian Trail Road. Go a total of 8 miles on this road until you get to the round-about / traffic circle. (When you come to the traffic circle, just keep driving around and around until you see the church!)
FROM MATTHEWS ... Downtown area: Take Trade Street south past the ball fields for 1 mile. At the light bear left. This road turns into Pleasant Plains. Turn right onto Potter Road at the next light. Go about 4 miles down that road until you get to the round-about / traffic circle. (When you come to the traffic circle, just keep driving around and around until you see the church!)
FROM CHARLOTTE ... From I-485 and Providence Rd. (Hwy 16), go south several miles on Providence. Turn LEFT at the stoplight onto Hwy 84 east. Continue east for approximately 4 miles and then turn LEFT at the stoplight onto Waxhaw-Indian Trail Rd. Continue for a mile or so until you get to the round-about / traffic circle. (When you come to the traffic circle, just keep driving around and around until you see the church!)
FROM MONROE ... Take Independence (Hwy 74) OR take Old Monroe Rd./Old Charlotte Highway north then turn left at the Waxhaw-Indian Trail Road stoplight. Travel east for several miles until you get to the round-about / traffic circle. (When you come to the traffic circle, just keep driving around and around until you see the church!)
FROM WESLEY CHAPEL ... From the Harris Teeter and the Village Commons Shopping Center, go north (toward Indian Trail) on Indian Trail-Waxhaw Road. Go about a mile until you get to the round-about / traffic circle. (When you come to the traffic circle, just keep driving around and around until you see the church!)
FROM STALLINGS ... From the intersection of Old Monroe Road and Stallings Road/Potter Road turn south on Potter Road (going past the gas station/McDonalds and continuing south). Go about four miles until you get to the round-about / traffic circle. (When you come to the traffic circle, just keep driving around and around until you see the church!)
